Accommodation
The Brazilian Canoe Confederation – CBCa – has made available a partner agency, GPK Tourism, long date partner in other international canoeing events, to indicate eight accommodation options, close to the competition course with different levels quality and price. These options are located maximum 20 minutes from the course. The accommodation values are in Brazilian Reais, per person, per day, including breakfast, and per person, per meal (either lunch or dinner), excluding drinks. Items not listed are not available. These values are through GPK Tourism only, to be contacted through gpkturismo@uol.com.br. They are negotiated rates, bellow standard, in a special agreement between these hotels and CBCa-GPK.
To choose reservation through GPK Tourism it is only necessary to fill out the accommodation reservation form.
Our suggestion to the teams is Foz do Iguassu Hotel, due to its rates, availability, quality and location.
The lists of the hotels present their websites, informative price for single, double, triple or quadruple rooms and, when available, the cost of a meal (either lunch or dinner).

In the hotels websites it is possible to check the hotel information, pictures, etc.
We prepared a unique way for you to find the necessary information on your screen when using “Google Earth” - http://earth.google.com/download-earth.html. The file “Foz - 2007 Slalom Worls.zip” with many interesting Google Earth placemarks is attached. By adding this file to your “Google Earth” you can locate the airports of São Paulo (GRU), Foz do Iguassu (IGU), Rio de Janeiro (GIG), hotels, the course and some key points in Foz do Iguassu. Open it in “Google Earth” and the placemarks are included as “Temporary Places”. Then you can select it, click the right mouse button and “Save to My Places”. If you click your left mouse button twice on any location or path (blue underlined name), “Google Earth” will drive you straight to that location or path and will show relevant information inside a balloon on the screen. The information is like airport code, flight time, drive distance and time, for the paths. For the hotels, the balloons show rates and website address. Once on the chosen location, you can zoom in to have a better and closer view of it.
We are sure it will be very helpful, simple, practical and fun to use “Google Earth” to get acquainted with many information about the “Slalom Worlds 2007”. We hope you use and enjoy it.
